Out of this promise grew Tikva Children's Home, which addresses the growing crisis of orphaned, abandoned, and homeless children in the Odessa region of the Ukraine. Founded in 1996, the Tikva Children's Home is committed to providing the educational and emotional resources to help these children rise above their impoverished past at the same time that it works toward building a culturally and economically re-invigorated Odessa community in which they can thrive.
Sweat Equity Education (SEE), launched in 2005, is a Marc Ecko Enterprises philanthropic initiative that builds design collaborations between youth and industry, providing a learning opportunity for teens and an innovation lab for design professionals and companies.
An acronym for Successful Teens with, Knowledge, Experience, and Determination, STOKED Mentoring is a nonprofit organization that gives at-risk youth an opportunity to discover surfing, snowboarding, and skateboarding. Through such programs, they are not only exposed to sports they might not otherwise be involved with, but they are able to develop resiliency, determination, and success, in ways that are more tangible and lasting than lessons in a classroom.
